Character is Cornerstone for Career Success and Nation

We live in the 21st century, a time of rapid technological growth, global uncertainty, and shifting geopolitical realities. In such a turbulent environment, a nation must be self-reliant. This is possible only when its people embody strong character and values. National character, therefore, becomes the most critical factor for long-term progress, prosperity, and credibility on the global stage.

My  book  “Character is Cornerstone for Career Success and Nation”  is an attempt to review the current state of character, ethics, and human values among students, young Professionals, Corporate leaders, the Defence forces, and Political leaders. The book suggests practical approaches for individuals and organizations to develop and maintain good character, moral strength, and ethical decision-making. When this happens at the individual and organizational level, it naturally strengthens the character of the nation as a whole.

This book is designed to be compact, jargon-free, and easy to grasp, particularly for young professionals, to provide them with the tools to develop self-awareness, discipline, and ethical strength to grow into dependable, motivated, and productive professionals. Such individuals not only contribute to the competitive edge of their organizations but also enhance the credibility and productivity of the national workforce.

Beyond students and young professionals, this book will also serve as a handy reference guide for business executives, managers, teachers, professors, religious leaders, and senior management. The chapters are supported with salient points in bullet form, which can be easily adapted into presentations and training modules by educators, HR managers, and organizational leaders.

This book places special emphasis on honesty, integrity, accountability, ownership, and discipline as the foundations of character. It is written in simple and conversational language — as though the author and reader are having a face-to-face dialogue — so that concepts appear practical and relatable.

My insights are shaped by 30 years of experience in Telecommunications and Computer Technology while serving in the Indian Army (Signals), a decade in senior corporate management, and over 16 years as an educationist, associated with leading universities in India, the USA, the UK, and Australia. This unique blend of military, corporate, and academic exposure has allowed me to see how character plays a decisive role in success across various fields.

I encourage readers to treat this book as their daily companion and spend a few minutes each day highlighting passages that resonate with them. Within 30 days of engaging with this book, readers will notice a shift, and they will become more character-conscious, reliable, productive, and sought after in both their professional and personal lives.

Spirituality helps control of anger and greed

It is very important to be happy and makes others happy and live a purposeful life. Anger is frequently a result of frustration as things do not always go as planned or due to misunderstanding, or of feeling that one’s ego is being hurt. One must realise that life is always full of ups and downs where things do not always go as planned. The good point is everything changes and ends and therefore even difficult situation, pain/sorrow is part of life and soon it will pass away. Likewise, people are not loving and caring all the time. A person can become angry at the workplace, at home or even while in a traffic jam. He /she can become angry with elders (grandparents, parents /in-laws), spouse, children, and servant/maid or car driver. A person in an angry mood generally feels that his / her pride is being challenged by another person who is wrong, less understanding and not accommodating. Most of the times, both parties feel that they are right. This leads to conflict, ill feelings...

Connecting with Universal God

There is just ONE (1) universal God for entire humanity and for all other living beings. God cannot be described by anyone and He cannot be seen by human 5 senses. He can only be realized by 6 th sense, when we give up ourselves and surrender ourselves to, Him whole heartedly and unconditionally. We can connect with God only when we sincerely pray to Him and He is pleased with our sincerity and deeds. Our old scriptures and Holy Books like Ramayana, Gita, Bible, Quran and Guru Grunth ( of Sikhs) written by great profits ( Messengers of God), Gurus / Faqirs / Saints tell us that by the karmas(deeds) of   our past life, the robe of this physical body has been given by God. It is only by His Grace, that Gate of Liberation can be found. Until then, we keep taking rebirths as new opportunity to purify ourselves and attain salvation. Connecting with God. God is omnipresent, omnipotent but cannot be established, He cannot be created and God Himself is Immaculate and Pure. He can be reali...

Existence of Universal God

One God for All . There is no My god and Your God, but just one(1) Universal God of all living and non-livings, in the entire universe The Universal Creator God is neither born nor dies, since GOD is beyond birth and death cycle. God is eternal from time immemorial and does not come and go in reincarnation. As per Hindu scriptures, before creation of this universe, there was nothing but just some mist/fog. Therefore God first created Himself and then created His Universe, comprising of many Galaxies, many Stars and many Planets/Earths. No one can imagine God’s shape and carve His statue out of a rock or wax, metal or paint an image on a paper/cloth or wall.  He is formless, nameless and invisible but God listens to any call from any living being in any language, by any local name, given as per one’s religious belief. Creator and Destroyer.   God is all powerful (Omnipotent) / Almighty. God likes His creation to bloom. God is the Creator and Destroyer of all at ...
