We are all creatures of God and He loves to see all of us happy, progressing, sharting and caring. God shall never let us down. Maintain your firm faith in God and miracles do happen. We all know that success in career brings happiness to self, family and the organization, in which we are serving. Faith in self, team, boss, organization, teacher/coach, mentor, family and God strengthen our energies and hope to succeed. God helps those who help themselves. It is your positive attitude to think that all are your well-wishers and they all want to see you climbing up the corporate ladder. Trust your mentors and boss, when you seek advice and must express your gratitude for their help. Faith is also termed as belief in self and others. If you believe your doctor, the medicine will show a better effect on you. If you believe your teacher/trainer/coach you will learn faster and better. Likewise, if you believe your friends, mentors, family members, you can always seek their support. You must have full belief in your capabilities and move on with full determination. You can accomplish anything if you believe that you can do it.
Faith in yourself. Faith is the self-belief in your competencies, energies and intent that you can do it and do it well. Do not underestimate yourself. If you have switched your job for better growth, you have experience and knowledge of your last job. Use that experience judiciously to your advantage and for the benefit of the team/organization. If you maintain self-belief and put in your very best, you may be pleasantly surprised by your excellent results, which will be beyond your expectations.
· Faith in your team. Your team is your biggest asset and you must trust every team member that he/she is capable of good performance with or without your guidance. You may run a short race/sprint alone but a career is a long journey which requires the collaborative approach. Always and everywhere you should speak well about your team and when required, provide the required training in learning new skills. As you have faith in their capabilities, delegate the tasks as per the capabilities of your team members. Let them take initiative, use their knowledge /skill and perform. There is no need to micro-manage them, instead just manage their commitments. Trust that your team will do well. It is the team’s success that will reinforce your success and not the success of your boss or your personal success.
· Faith in your Boss. Your boss could have been there before you joined the organization or he/she has joined after you joined the organization. Trust him/her that he/she has good experience/ knowledge in various areas since senior management has chosen him/her for that position. Be eager to learn from him/her and support his / her mission. This will send a positive signal to your team and they too will respect you and your boss. You will be rewarded for your faithfulness. Those who have friction with their boss due to a lack of mutual trust will end up in misunderstanding and the team will notice that. Always bear in mind that one day you too will be the boss of some team/group and how you would like to be treated by your juniors.
· Faith in your Organization. The organization has selected you with due diligence and expect you to have a full commitment to demonstrate your sincere efforts and skills to enhance productivity. Have full faith in your organization and never ever speak badly about your organization within or outside of it. If you speak low of your organization anywhere, the word will soon go around. It will reflect your lack of faith and your team/boss will observe that. This will retard your growth. Good faith will facilitate your alignment with the vision of the organization and you will start loving your job.
· Faith in your Teacher/Coach/Guru. During any learning opportunity, you must have full faith in your teacher/instructor/coach/guru and get the best out of him/her. Since you are investing your time and money to improve your knowledge/skill, you must pay full attention with full trust that he/she is doing his/her best to take your forward. Lack of faith will make you disinterested in the training session and you will be the loser.
· Faith in your mentor. It is highly recommended that you have one or two mentors who could be your past professors/industry leaders and draw inspiration from their achievements. You can count on them for right guidance since they are your well-wishers. They are well qualified, highly experienced and mature to wish you well and see you rise in your chosen career. Have faith in them and give due respect while networking with them.
· Faith in your family. Trust that your spouse, parents, grandparents, parents-in-law and children, they all wish you the best. As a married person, you must have full faith in your spouse and there should be no misunderstanding or rift between the two. Do not suspect or mistrust your spouse and instead start with an open mind, full of love and affection for each other. One should also be faithful to the parents as they will standby during any difficult situation in your career/life.
in God. There are many people who can't find a good job and when they tried their hands at personal micro-business, they failed. Such instances and some other events may cause some people to lose their trust in God. Do not bargain with God and pray to give an offering to God only if your job is done. He is not an employment exchange or a paid career counsellor. If you are seeking a breakthrough in your career, work or business, have full and unconditional faith in God. Miracles happen every day and success is sure to come earlier than you can think of. Some of the well-known advantages of keeping full faith in God are:
- Stay Hopeful: Never give up hope to reach your goal. Some give up almost as close to winning a race or reaching the mountaintop. A little bit of extra input and keeping good hope leads to success. The everyday sun rises with new light and hope for us. Therefore cheer up there will be a rainbow after the rain and there will be light at the end of the tunnel. If you hope for the moon and miss it, you will still land up with stars.
- Whom to pray. All religions are good as they hold society together. Some religions are spread over the whole world while some are local to a country. We must respect all religions as each religion, although preaches different methods of prayer but they all help you to align with the supreme God (1). There is no harm in following any path which makes you calm and hope-full of your success. The supreme God has no form, shape and He is beyond the realm of birth and death. He is self-created, omnipotent and omnipresent. We all are His creation and He loves us and always wants to see us happy and successful. All noble people (Lords, Prophets, Saints and Gurus) came as messengers of God, at different times and at different places on this earth. In their short span of life, they sacrificed many things and showed the righteous path to the whole of humanity. We may pray simply by thinking of ONE God or worship through by reciting any other name or look at any Image/Photograph/Statute of any prophet who inspires us. Every prayer if done sincerely will reach the ultimate God and there will be no delay in His response.
- How and when to pray God Almighty does not reside in any one place of worship, Church, Mosque, Mandir / Temple or Gurdwara) or a country. He is living all over the universe and you can pray to Him at any time, at any place in any way, but pray sincerely as if you have fully surrendered to Him while seeking his assistance.L ook the way a Muslim person prays (Nimaj) five times in a day and he does it where ever he is at that time of the day. He simply takes a short break, kneels down on the floor/ground and faces towards “ Holy Macca” and prays. For ease of concentration of your mind, you may pray in front of photograph or statue or Holy Book or even look towards open sky with folded hands and pray, Even when you are driving a car, climbing a hill, swimming in the ocean or skiing down the hill, God is with you all the time protecting, guiding and encouraging you . You do not have to go over to a place of worship and pay the money to the priest (caretaker) to pray for you. You can and you must pray for yourself, any time, even when driving a vehicle or when having a long walk. He understands your pains and untold stories.
- Gratitude to God. It is a human weakness that when in need/despair we pray and seek God’s help but once things start turning around and success start showing up we feel, we have done it. You tend to forget God who blessed your prayer and showed you the light at the end of the tunnel. When we trust Him, we will surely get success in all that we do, including our businesses, careers and families. God loves to see His creation (we the children of God) enjoying and living in harmony- “live and let live”, “be happy and make others happy”. Somehow, in our materialistic world, fast lifestyle, we forget to sing a song of His glory and thank Him. Our visit to the church, mosque, temple, Gurdwara or any other religious place has become a matter of our convenience or meeting place for friends. We often fail to see the blessings and prosperity that God brings to all of us, even when we have not asked for.
